Re: A little bit confused: Threads, Cores, Processors?

Bianco, Does not the "6 core" version not mean that four "cores" will execute at 1/8th cpu clock, and two at 1/4? If I am correct, then we can say goodbye to determinism. Or has the hardware been re-jigged so that each thread will get each sixth clock? I do like the mention of 70...

Re: XK-1A, XC-1A, XS1-G4 - are they being EOL'd?

Thanks Bianco. At least I found now, so I can scratch my plans for marketing add-on boards that would work on multiple XMOS dev boards, before producing PCB's. Will XMOS guarantee that the slicekit add-on format will stay the same for at least two-three years? Ie will XMOS commit to not bring out al...

XK-1A, XC-1A, XS1-G4 - are they being EOL'd?

Hi, The new slice kit is nice, but I really liked the XK-1A/XC-1A/XS-G4 having easy to work with 0.1" centered standard headers; I could make daughter cards that would work on all of the XMOS dev boards I have. Now, I can only find the XK-1A and the SliceKit on the XMOS site. Are the XC-1A/XS-G...

Re: New L Series

I am guessing that "getr rX,XS1_RES_TYPE_THREAD" just returns some ROM or fuse bits. Six instructions every 8/10ns would be wonderful, however I suspect that such a significant change has not been made. I do like the hints about a 700Mhz speed grade :) and look forward to USB enabled versi...

Re: New L Series

Initially I was quite interested to see new Xcore chips. Then I took a careful look at the tables. Barring changes that have not been revealed yet (core / io improvements) it seems to me that the "new" chips are just "thread limited" re-spin's of the old ones. I'd love to be wron...

Re: Complete EagleCAD library for XMOS chips.

<t>Hi,

First: Thank you for making the library!

I downloaded it, unpacked it, and put it into my eagle 5.12 folder. When I tried to open the library, Eagle said it was corrupted.

Did you happen to build it in Eagle 6.0? If so, that is not backward compatible with Eag...

Re: XS1-L2

I meant the L2... I could have sworn I saw it listed as available in TQFP-128 about six months ago.

C'est la vie.

Do you mean the L1? The L2 has never been available in a QFP package.
