FBGA 374 Land Patterns

Hello,

I am currently working on project involving XMOS xCORE 200 and I'd like to use XEF232-1024-FB374
in FBGA 374 package but i can't find information about recomended pad size for this device.

Can anyone give me an information about recomended pad size.

Hi Automatyk. We are using the same controller on our SOM project.

From our PCB designer on this topic,

"generated the footprint using the IPC7351B footprint generator in Altium. The footprint is generated using the dimensions contained in the XMOS XEF232-1024-FB374 Datasheet, Page 32. Published Dec 18, 2015.

The pads are 0.35mm ( .0138" ) diameter. Trace / Space sizes are .005 / .005 inches minimum. There are no vias in any pads."

Our SOM has not yet closed so do review the above details to see if the specs are suitable. Let us know if you need any additional details. Are you working in Altium ?

Hi,
I had the same question and after some research I also went for 0.35mm pads. No vias in pads, 0.1mm trace width, 0.125mm clearance, 4 layers to keep the board cost reasonable.
Did not have any problems but only built prototypes sofar.
