An amazing LED motion project powered by XMOS
02/12/2011 - 12:30
Our own community member Interactive matter has produced a mind-blowing LED project using an XC-2 ethernet control kit. He writes in his blog: "A XMOS controller driving 60 stepper motors...The XMOS XC-2 kit has 4 processing cores, three of them having two 12 pin connectors. So each core can support 16 HL1606 LED strips (some control pins and 8 data pins per connector, with two connectors per core). Due to the parallel architecture of the XMOS controllers it was very easy to create some scalable implementation..." I'm sure he'll be putting it on XCore's project section soon! Talk about this project on our forum!
Project of the Month - December 2012
01/12/2011 - 09:54
Congratulations to Lele who is December 2011's winner for Project of the Month for his General purpose parser. This project is a bit different from the usual projects on XCore and has some unique functionality to it! Lele wins himself $100 worth of XMOS kit! Forum re-organisation coming soon!
24/11/2011 - 13:54

Following on from the big-ish update on Tuesday, we will be reorganising the structure of the forum in a few weeks.

There will be a forum post explaining where everything has moved to, but it should be clearly marked enough for you to figure it out.

The reason for the reorganisation is to improve the clarity and use of each area.

At the moment we are seeing similar posts in different areas, so the update will make it easier to understand where you should be posting stuff!

We will let you know a few days before it happens so you are not caught off guard.

A slightly newer XCore, tell us what you think!

Over the past few months I've been evaluating XCore and working with the rest of the web team to improve the user experience. We've just released the first of a few big updates, so head over to this forum post to discover what they are and if you managed to figure out how to log in (it shouldn't be that hard, if it is I've failed!) tell us what you think!
