Automating installing xTimeComposer on Linux

Hi all, I've not been around the forums for a very, very long time; I dug out my board last night to have a tinker & things have changed a bit! Sorting out xTimeComposer took a little while (finding the icon was a pain) so I thought I'd share a Bash script I threw together to automate the proces...

Re: Machine Vision

Thank you both for getting back to me. I thought that might be the case Bianco. How feasible would it be to make up an SDRAM interface for the XC-1A? To answer you Dan, I'm looking into using the board I have in my final year project; at the moment this stands at a robotic arm using servos for contr...

Machine Vision

Hi guys, long time no see!

I was wondering, does the chip on the XC-1A have a camera DMA interface built in? And if I was to purchase a CMOS camera, say one of these or these, would I require additional memory to buffer the data being sent from the camera?

Thanks in advance

True, but that issue is already being invited, I can't image that adding a few extra tiers would exacerbate the problem, if anything they'll be weeded out in their attempts to hit the requirement for the first prize.

Re: [updated 23/09/11] New XCore competition - have your say!

Why not build upon the "Activity Points" prize by adding tiers; you have one for 512 points, why not 1024, 2046, etc?

I like the idea of a "solve the problem" style competition, although I can see it being easily dominated by one or two experienced users.

Hi williamk,

Looks like you've hit the same issue I did, try working through this thread & see if that helps.

Good luck!

Re: XC-1A IDC Header

A little late in the game but I used the exact right-angled header you have pictured. As Bianco mentioned, they are a little wide to sit next to one another; I simply used a scalpel to remove an excess portion of the header. There's a nice little line which marks the perfect cut-off length on the un...
