Re: High Speed data collection (DAC and ADC)

<t>CMOS ADC's massive struts are replacing conventional exotic high-speed ADC's and because of that we all can build very fast as Tektronics or Lecroy or HP and there for bypass all that expensive IP they bundle. the savings we can poor into to class A analog to achieve optimum fidelity/$... Re: Commercial product / volume OTP programming

Yes!, an Xtag type Jtag programing board with multiple Sockets and test pins. say one, two, four, six. I think it would be a practical for your application just not turnkey, because you have to build it. There are lots of test socket stuff, perhaps gang sockete burners. they still half to be custume...

Re: The official XS1-SU1 discussion thread

What is the intended application for the on-chip ADC? Being only 12-bits, it isn't suitable for high-quality audio, which is obviously where the device will mainly be used. I don't know about that? there is a lot of oversampling and who knows with proper conditioning and a small array of XS-1SU1's ...

Re: The official XS1-SU1 discussion thread

Hello XCORE!, Its been well over a year since I last posted to these forums. I have been in stealth mode for quite a time now. This chip, XS1-SU1 has a lot of potential, to me for many applications. The ADC shall be effective in sniffing with the tightest possible latencies. And sure the ENOB resolu...

Re: Is it important if XMOS is a MCU or something else?

Hello All, Long time no post... The Answer is of course.......... Far more than a MCU. Xmos is a displacing technology And displaces MCU's, CPU's, Fpga's, DSP's, plus a load of other typeO electronics. As far as positioning go's @approx 5$/core you have 1/2gigaMIP slicable to eight event and or inte...

Re: A year goes by ...

I haven't posted barely at all this lat summer cause I've been so busy on my project. If you instantiate a cpu core within an FPGA you take a performance hit. If you host a CPU next to an FPGA, you have to deal with the cpu abstractions any cache coherency memory sharing schemes. The XMOS model is v...
