Re: trouble embedding a string into .xe file

Marvelous! Wonderful! Various other expletives designating positive thoughts! Works nicely. Since most of our projects will have "matching" programs in the computer and the XMOS chip, it is my goal to get them to use the same version headers, so that they will match as the program develops...

Using external strobes to interface with a bi-directional lo

trouble embedding a string into .xe file

I need to embed a version string into the .xe file for my project. The string is generated automatically with version and date information and it follows the format "\0$VER: programname version.revision (dd.mm.yyyy) comment\0" It can be located anywhere in the file, it is located later by ...

Re: startKIT and sc_sdcard library

Interesting.. I am also bringing up the SD interface and FAT file system.. or at least working towards that. I have been out of the loop for a while now, last time I was here they called them threads instead of cores.. I was building the project for an XS1-L02 chip, but I have changed my mind and de...

Re: deprecated xn files in xTimeComposer 13.1.0 community

Thank You! I hope all my questions get such straightforward answers. :) I modified one of the old xn files and successfully compiled an old project. I'll add my changes to the newer part xn file instead.. no harm in updates as long as I won't break something. I am now setting up a build system that ...

deprecated xn files in xTimeComposer 13.1.0 community

Greetings, I have been away since version 11.something, and on installing xTimeComposer Community 13.1.0, I find some of the xn files have been deprecated, including the type I had been using. My project is built with an XS1-L02A , but I need to make a few minor modifications to the xn keep everythi...

Re: JTAG connection to StartKit

Did you get a full toolchain working? At this time we have the JTAG utilities that Segher provided. None of the XMOS provided dev tools can run on a PPC processor.. One of our devs looked into llvm, but the source to the XC specific front end is not available either. I'm going to try linking some s...

Re: Integrating XMOS processors with custom PCB board design

...This is nothing compared to the yearly revenue of 1400 million that Atmel has.... edit: Those numbers are confirmed, my original comment was in error. Regarding the cost of supporting "hobby" developers, I can see both sides of the argument. Comparing the cost against the purchases doe...

Re: JTAG connection to StartKit

It would seem that the OP to this thread has been ignored? :( I would love to know why XMOS development software ignores available and developing hardware which features an integrated XMOS chip and interface. Thanks for your vote of support! I think these forums are proof that XMOS is very active i...

Re: JTAG connection to StartKit

Could you clarify which available and developing hardware you are discussing and also give some estimate of the number of users of this platform? http://www.a-eon.com/?page=x1000 is a link to a page describing the first in the series. This "Flagship" model has been available for over a ye...
