AVB-LC -- Warning: F03132 Irregular sector sizes have been detected

I finally got back to messing around with my older avb demo boards, XR-AVB-LC-BRD. So I built the reference design v6.1.1rc1 in xTimeComposer and went to flash it and was given this warning Warning: F03132 Irregular sector sizes have been detected on flash device on node 0 using page based image sea...

Re: NetGear ProSafe GS716Tv2 and XR-AVB-LC-BRD

Unity is a turd. xfce and the default 'ubuntu studio' desktop gives me joy. No problem regarding permissions, I understand. I really do have to forge my own trail. I'll have to put this AVB stuff aside for a bit while I persue a test gear integration project. Santa got me an SG5010 low-distortion os...

Re: NetGear ProSafe GS716Tv2 and XR-AVB-LC-BRD

I had to upgrade from Ubuntu 10.04 to 12.10 last night to get wireshark 1.8.4. I didn't feel like building it from source, though maybe that would have been a better plan in retrospect :) This'll take me a few days to make my dev computer useful again.. OH MY LORD what drugs were the Canonical folks...

I would greatly appreciate it if you could. This is forcing me to get my act together for sniffing which is all good in the long-term.

I have wireshark 1.2.7, but doesn't apparently have any filters for the AVB structures.

tarboy, do you happen to have any Ethereal or wireshark packet captures I can email the fine folks at netgear? They seem interested in details

Re: NetGear ProSafe GS716Tv2 and XR-AVB-LC-BRD

According to the helpful tech support person at BSS, the netgear firmware is using version 5 of the streaming reservation protocol. xcore might be at v6. back-down xcore to v5?

He says if I want v6, about the only option right now is the LabX

http://www.provantage.com/extreme-networks-16502~7ETNT0ER.htm a thousand for just eight ports... wheeeee :/ But with PoE, though, so not too awful, but still it breaks my bank for this hobby project. I'll need PoE later on for the remote micpre aspect. I just might have to bail on this entirely unt...

Re: NetGear ProSafe GS716Tv2 and XR-AVB-LC-BRD

Yes, presentation time should manage this, but as a dumb switch doesn't maintain Qav requirements in a mixed-use environment late packets drop the listener into an apparent fall-back behavior until things stable after a few seconds. It's rather gross, but better than cliff-effect of a whole mute sta...

Re: NetGear ProSafe GS716Tv2 and XR-AVB-LC-BRD

I have timing problems with a dumb switch. Right channel will randomly become late then recover after about 4 seconds.
