A good childhood friend joined inmos. I was very fortunate to get a couple of dev boards from him and self taught myself Occam (Over 20 years ago..).
My dream.... would be to see XMoss cpu's fill that missing gap some time in the future.

Re: Dual XC-1As
Hi,
you beat me to it - very nice!
Have you written anything other than the initial startup code to test them running in dual configuration?

Below is a link to a video on youtube demonstrating one of the projects.

Re: Interested in Training?
I am from Bristol, what about yourself? Seems there are many people out there who have sufficiently self taught / been helped along well enough by others to get by without training. I still see a potential requirement though - possibly where migrating users from alternative technologies to XMoss pro...

Re: Unused Ports
Thank you - So it's no different to the "good ole days"...
This brings me to another question..... Would I be right in thinking it's more power efficient to use pull down resisters and tie it to 0v, than pull up resisters?

Re: Parallel usage rules
Thanks heater - that is a great answer. From my perspective I can understand why there are no provisions which help you write code which could bite you in the butt.. With a work around, I guess it's a case of holding your hand out too much to expect a pragma which allows you to break the "rules...

Re: Parallel usage rules
Just out of interest - what is the rational behind preventing the sharing of arrays? I ask because there is the obvious work around by using C, however, as a pragma hasn't been implemented, it makes one wonder whether there are problems which can be encountered which could be encountered with the wo...

Re: LED Matrix POV Hologram
This is a fantastic idea - I saw a professional display in the USA last year which allegedly cost hundreds of thousands. Will be great if you can reproduce it :)

Re: Unused Ports
How should I configure a unused Port ? If I don't configure a port I assume it is a floating input Port after reset. Normally it is not the best for the power consumption if the port is floating. For unused ports i suggest setting them to output LOW (off) because i don't know if this happens just t...
