Re: XCore Pass The Parcel:A bit of fun, winners, rules, parcels

And will it also work while browsing the forums now, or is that next on the website to-do list?

Re: Is it important if XMOS is a MCU or something else?

Rubberneck, are you on the parallax forums as well? ;) I think that at Parallax, the company is deeply involved in what the community is doing, and vice versa. The one problem I have with XMOS chips (along with many other mcus, fpgas, etc) is that the programming devices tend to be too far above my ...

Re: Link to xmos.com

It's not so much to make a point about it than to have a link to the website from the forums, mostly for convenience. It'd be nice to be able to scroll down to the bottom of the page for a quick link to the xcore site to check what an XK-1 is again. ;) I definitely don't want the link to be put all ...

Link to xmos.com

I think it might be best to add a link to xmos.com, so people know that this isn't the main site... Maybe under the "quick links" at the bottom of the page or something.

Re: What would you do with an XDK or XMP-64?

With an XDK, I'd make a cartridge-style device that helps users develop for other microcontrollers and languages, so the XDK would sort of simply allow other chips to interface to its LCD, buttons, sound, ethernet connectivity, SD, etc. To put it simply, it'd be like a Nintendo Gameboy with dev cart...

Re: Microprocessor/Microcontroller educational kit

<t>This is pretty cool -- 4 stars here.

I feel like there's something missing though.... Might be the fact that these parts aren't widely available and the ones that I myself have on hand are MROMs (mask ROMs, if you didn't know) and are thus unable to be changed at all.

My que...

Re: XCore Pass The Parcel:A bit of fun, winners, rules, parcels

I've been wondering about the way the parcel is passed.... So, the formula is 2^n right? What decides the value of n? Is it decided before the parcel can be passed, or is it affected by the number of passes? Also, does the number of passes/the value of "n" reset at the end of monday, or ar...
