We've a new group "XMOS Video Interest Group" (XVIG) to push the idea of using Xmos devices for video related projects, please come along and join in.

i am interested.

i would like to make research about dirac compression on xmos.

i would like to see how to interface cmos camera to xmos.

so on... ;)

It's pretty easy to miss, but there's a link called Latest Groups at the bottom of the page, if you don't want to wait for a direct link :) Think you can also join groups from your own profile but I suppose groups could be easier to find.

Interfacing a cmos camera sounds like an interesting idea. I'm pretty sure Leon has already interfaced a camera to a XC-1 and I think I saw his post over at Xmoslinkers.org

I'm just thinking about it. I've got a couple of the TCM8230MD cameras I'd like to try, and have designed a PCB. I've also got a C328 camera; that has a serial I/F and would be a lot easier.

@leon_heller where do you by those cmos modules? toshiba was available at sparkfun, but no more. and the source for c3808 is unknown to me.

I got mine from Sparkfun a few weeks ago. I got two, you could have one of them.

I think the C328 is quite easy to obtain:

thanks! i will need to get a PCB to interface toshiba to XMOS too, some info was already posted here on forum. as i will be ready and you still have an extra camera i will write you. thanks for your kind offer.
