Hello from the Netherlands

Post by pstnotpd »

I've been lurking for a while now, wondering if I'd take the plunge. I got an electronics degree many moons ago, but as these things go I ended up in big enterprise software development. Back in the day I used to do inmos transputer programming.

With the release of the slicekit I just couldn't resist, so I've got one sitting on my desk now showing its bouncy X on the LCD display.

Project ambition: connect up an XMOS array to the "tube" of my 80s era Acorn BBC master.

But I guess that will take some time as my hardcore low-level programming chops are quite rusty, as are my hardware skills.....

Looking forward to it though :o)

Welcome to the forum!

XMOS is an exciting chip with tremendous potential and, if you want to do low-level stuff, the assembly language is easy to get the hang of. You'll find that there's a LOT of knowledge here on the board, so don't be afraid to ask!
