Hi there,
I'm a software engineer, but since 2003 I've been interested in hardware design. I've done some projects using either MCUs or FPGAs, see my website http://torlus.com/ for more information.
My latest project is the cloning of the SEGA Megadrive/Genesis in a FPGA, see this video : ilzKiW21T9Y
I plan to see if I could use XMOS chips for that kind of projects... It seems that it would shorten the development time (and pain  ) compared to a "pure" FPGA design.
Hello world

Hi there! Welcome to XCore. Great video you posted there! You may be interested in what one of our project of the month winners has been working on:

A Sega Genesis/Megadrive emu would be fun. Especially if it includes 32X functionality! :)
And getting it going on XCore would be easier and cheaper than putting the FPGA logistical train together. ;)
