Having a few issues...

Hi everyone,
I'm excited about the potential XMOS can provide for me in learning about embedded systems. However, I've encountered a few problems with xTimeComposer.
I've downloaded the latest java stuff, and the IDE for Xcore chips, however, I seem to constantly get the message that connection to XMOS.com has failed, and as a result, none of the libraries show up, now do I get any example projects and code for me to learn off.
Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated as I'm keen to learn as much as possible over the holidays. I'm using macOS if that might help narrow down any issues.
