Typestrings

Postby JohnWilson » Wed Apr 25, 2012 9:23 pm

Can anyone please point me at whatever document tells how to write typestrings for .globl pseudo-ops for assembly source files? Section 31.6 on page 139 of the Tools User Guide says it's specified by the XS1 ABI. Ha, ha, you got me! Or was there actually supposed to be a document there? When I download the ABI all I get is a title page. Is this a mistake or is the ABI a secret? Or am I an idiot and I opened it wrong? Or all three?

Thanks!

Yeah, both X6368B and X6368A are broken (B doubly so, since it claims
to be A as well, in its text).

Try http://www.xmos.com/published/abi97, which is a smaller
file, but more content ;-)

(That is actually the 8.7 version, not 9.7 as it claims. Oh well :-) )

Ah, beautiful! Thank you!!! Works like a charm. I was never going to guess "chd" for "chanend".
