Hi,
i'm trying to find out how i can customize the new Thesycon Driver 2.10.
The XMOS support didn't understand me, can't or will not help (Not under this User-Name!).
Till driver 1.61 it was the normal way to use his own USB VID & PID.

But now it seems that i have to use a XMOS VID & PID.
But i can't switch to a different USB ID.
I have the Old Customizing Kit V1.61.
What can i do?

There must be some mis-communication regarding your support request.
I assume you are talking about the "free" XMOS branded stereo driver? This cannot be customised, it is given away for free by XMOS if a customer satisfies some requirements.
Part of the licence for this is using the XMOS VID and a PID assigned to you by XMOS.
Previous to this free driver being released you would have been paying a premium for a driver licence on a per chip basis (THS part number).

Well we have bought the THS Chips of course and we had access to the customer driver Kit (version 1.61).
But now i can't find this.
And i can't find something for the new driver, just the "free" XMOS branded stereo driver is available. But this is nothing i really need.

By the way, why are you wishing to move away from 1.61? 1.61 should still be available in your "My XMOS" profile under "Reference Designs"

there is no technical need for changing.
The 1.61 is still working.
But i have seen that there is a new driver (version 2.10) and that's why i asked.
A new driver is just always interesting.

What I gather is that the 1.61 driver is licensed only for use with -THS L1 or L2 ICs and the 2.15 driver is licensed only for use with UX (newer integrated-USB-Phy) ICs. Use of the 2.15 driver with L1 or L2 devices will not be permitted nor will use of the 1.61 driver be permitted with the UX devices.
If you read the release notes from the v2.19 you will probably find a number of reasons why one would like an update.
Highlights:
v1.67 fixes the BSOD issue. This is a SERIOUS issue.
v2.18 supports Windows 8.1
Some might find interesting:
v2.16 Fix: 32 bit PCM through WASAPI was not working
v2.13 ASIO DSD mode supported
There are a number of minor changes that may be interesting to some.
What is disturbing to us is that we've just been informed that -THS licensees will not receive any further updates (past v1.61). We may continue to buy ICs to continue manufacturing our products but the license we pay for is no longer supported. It's not clear what we can do when v1.61 will not work with the latest version of Windows.
