AVB Endpoint Without 1722.1 and MAAP

Post by tardec.hal »

Hey guys,

I am currently working with the XCORE-200 Multichannel Audio Platform (XK-AUDIO-216-MC-AB). I want to use the board to be able to send and receive AVB packets as well as TCP packets. I want to be able to use 802.1AS (gPTP), 802.1Qav (Traffic Shaping), and 802.1Qat (SRP) and normal 1722 AVBTP formatted packets. I don't use AVDECC or MAAP on my endpoints/network and therefore would like to bypass these protocols and only work with SRP to set up streams.

Is there any way to do this or is it impossible to bypass 1722.1 and MAAP because the board/software was designed to utilize those protocols?
