Documentation Errors

Post by Lefty4000 »

Hello,

I just wanted to report that contrary to the startKIT hardware guide, the leds in the 3x3 LED matrix are not active high, they are active low.

you can test this yourself with your own startKIT by using the program here
https://github.com/funkyguy4000/XMOS-St ... r/LED_Scan

UPDATE
Another documentation error I found was that the connections to the audio slice stated in the Audio Slice Hardware Guide is not consistent with the Schematics...at all
I tested the connections using a multimeter and the schematic proved to be the right one.

Correct. Noted the same details in another thread:

Sweet,

I've been coming across many points where they could provide clarification or make their documentation.

I don't know if XMOS employees look through these forums, but if they do, I'd love to get in touch with them and help them out with their documentation. The platform they offer is very powerful, I'd hate to see it falter due to terrible documentation.

They do ;-).

Thanks for pointing these issues out, it is very much appreciated. I've passed this information on so the documents can be fixed. Any other feedback or suggestions you have are welcomed.

For things that are clearly bugs you can submit them via the report-a-bug section of our website.

Awesome!
I'll start posting them to the report-a-bug thing. I assume that's faster for getting an actual fix.
Thanks

I have added this in the internal document bug tracking system and the latest version of the document will be published once this is fixed.
