A group for XCore users to create and share video related (VGA, NTSC, PAL, LCD and other display types) solutions for the XMOS architecture.
There are already several video related projects in the XMOS Exchange project:
VDP-1 – A VGA and NTSC Tile- and sprite based Video Display Processor

X-ONE - A XC-2 Video Console

Nokia 6100 Display driver - LCD Driver with numerous functionality and video playback

Lilltrolls graphics project - 320*240 TFT, 262k colour screen with touchscreen for XC-1
If you are interested in developing a video driver or adding a video display to your current project or building a retro-minimalist homebrew games console then please join in.

Using the driver i have written for the Nokia 6100 (knockoff) display ( http://www.xcore.com/projects/nokia-610 ... controller )
i managed to play video on the display. It uses a RAW format. The RAW file is stored on a USB stick which is read by the Vinculum USB host chip.
The XMOS processor communicates with the Vinculum chip through a parallel interface.

Well since it looks like the last post was way back in 2014, I thought I'd throw a new one up here.

Has anybody made any sweet video related projects since then they are willing to share?

I guess for me personally i'm looking in to onboard graphics generation sent out a displayport

A small project on generating VGA signals using xCore-200 explorer board. 320x240x8bpp dual frame buffers. Use USB CDC to receive map moving commands from host.
