XMOS Robotics

Post by johanar »

This is the group for everything related to XMOS usage in robots, no matter if it's a small sumo robot or a huge biped. Post about your current projects or just some crazy idea that you'd like to try!

Come on, don't be shy, tell us about your robot projects! If you currently don't have anything going on, post some ideas of how the XMOS processing power could be used.

Just to get this group started I'll like the few XMOS robotics projects I've found so far.

XRobot - Tracked robots with XDK
project pages and software for the XRobot
remote controlled
one robot with camera tracking following the other
with another robot balancing on top

Misc robots
ABE, autonomous underwater bot. Part of the XMOS challenge at Lets Make Robots.

Using sensors with XMOS boards
I2C accelerometer
SPI gyro and I2C accelerometer
10bit A/D converter
Hardware to connect C3038 or C3088 camera to XDK
Blog about implementing human recognition on XC-2

General robot builder sites
Let's Make Robots

Well, I was hoping to find more around the internet, but I'll try to keep this post updated. Feel free to contribute!

As the title says, great work on the logo, I am proud to have it showing on my profile! I thought I would post this video to, of an XMOS based robot I have seen out in the wild!

Does anyone want to build a robot "base" platform with an XMOS chip/board?

I would buy one of these - a development kit for building XMOS-based robotis. I think you would find quite a few others would too. Does anyone have any experience in this area?

Hi folks

I am involved in an electromechanical project in which I need to build a control board, rather than doing a one off I decided on reuse of the main Xmos board. I figured everyone here is likely to be interested in a basic control and robotics board so please let me know your thoughts in this thread:
