That old code might be for G devices; L devices have a slightly different
link protocol. Nothing terribly hard, just warning you :-)

yes cortex M3 is great, i'm basing a few different projects on the LP1766, but for this project it will be the AT91SAM7X (arm7) for reasons i (sorry) can't reveal.
