Examples using MIDI connectors?

Has anyone got some example code for using the MIDI connectors on the audio slice.

All examples seem to focus on the actual audio bits, but I'd like to try a pattern sequencing application.

B.t.w. The new xcore 200 audio board looks very interesting for use in my studio.

I wrote this minimalistic midi protocol and uart driver earlier, and now I just uploaded here:
midi1 lib
This is used by me in an electronic drum / trigger project, which one still on development phase. :)
