Interest in an analog/digital stackable dev board?

I have been working on a board for a project that involves analog inputs, and I could easily modify the board for a more dev board approach. Main points:
-500mhz L1
-2x 8ch. 12 bit 125MSPS ADC's with independent SPI lines (0-2.5v)
-Possibility of a DAC
-(once modified) 16 bit output port, plus some additional depending on where I can route
-Stackable on top of each other with 2W links
- It's a 6 layer PCB with 6/6 spacing and 8mil holes.

Right now the analog inputs are on a ribbon cable, but once I remove the DIP, it can be broken out. It would also be easy to make "flavors" like a pure digital (and much cheaper, the ADC's and V ref's I used cost quite a bit), motor control, etc...

Unseen on the back is filter capacitors, the flash, and precision voltage refs. for the ADC.

Cost would be dependent on the number of units. Target price?

What ADC's are you using?

Design files will be posted once I change them. It is 6 layers, so one will need Eagle Professional to edit. I forgot to mention dimensions: 45mm x 46.5mm. I will probably make that 45mm square.

the ADC's are AD7928, and the Vref's are ADR291 (I have one per ADC, can change that too). I like AD chips, they have excellent documentation!

What is the startup cost for the mounting-robot for a batch ?

Did you/they use stencils, or a pastaprinter ?

Nice that there is no DIMM "look a like" sockets. I learned yesterday, on the Swedish yearly embedded exhibition, that DIMM has problems with connectivity in environments with vibrations, so it is not preferred to use it in embedded cards (that isn't aimed for toys at home).

I don't know specifically about setup cost, but for this low quantity, each board was ~$130 to assemble. I don't know the method they used.

I picked these connectors as another module I am using uses them, and I did not want to go searching for my own :roll:
They are quite sturdy, and have a nice click when pushed together.

Many mounting manufactures has a starting fee for small series like:

totalt cost= start + n*cards

Where start i [300 - 1000] € since they have to manually load the robot with components.

Making it very very expensive to do 4 cards, but a much better price per card making 100.

Can they give you some prices vs batch-size ?
