Startkit ADC how to, any official examples?

Had a dream run with the startkit so far, now I am trying to use the ADC ports in startkit.

There is a post by XMatt XMOS Employee "3. I am just chasing this up at the moment, I would hope by the end of the month."

Is there an update on this, i am just looking for a well documented way of handling ADC,

or

even though startkit has ADC ports, is it better to have external ADC ics to handle it, but it doesn't sound right.

Are there any examples on handling ADC using external Ics

What is the best way to handle it now?
