When did xTimeComposer become so unstable on KDE systems?

Hi there,

I finally had the opportunity to come back to XMOS after a while. I was happy to see v.13.1. I am traditionally running KDE and currently I am on Kubuntu 14.04, with Oracle Java 1.8.0.11, both 32bit.

xTimeComposer crashes unexpectedly for all different reasons.
First it was the Oxygen Theme problems. Then the Developer column issue. Then a long living eclipse bug regarding workspace choice.
Still haven't managed to find any robust workaround. Is it just me? I could freshen up my Kubuntu installation but I would like to make sure that I am alone in this before continuing. Cause an OS without working xTimeComposer is a deal breaker. ;-)

Greetings,
D
