Why does windows report "Windows cannot verify the digital s

The XTAG drivers are not signed correctly in older versions of the xTIMEcomposer tools for later versions of Windows resulting in the signing error "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers"

The XTAG drivers for windows are signed for platforms that are available at the time of release of the xTIMEcomposer tools and the latest version should always support the latest supported windows platform and all previous versions still supported by Microsoft.

For older versions of xTIMEcomposer it is possible to update the driver software for the XTAG to meet the signing criteria of later versions of windows.

Attached is an updated signed driver package for the XTAG-2 which will allow the driver to be updated to work with all currently supported versions of windows up to and including windows 8.1

To update this download the attached zip file to a local machine, extract it and via the device manager find the XTAG device and go to Properties->Driver->Update Driver

From there go to "Browse my computer for driver software" and locate the extracted driver package on your machine.

Windows should then update the driver to the new version.

Note this is functionally the same as previous driver releases, the only change is in the driver signing, if your XTAG is already working there is no need to perform this update.
