I have been using lib_i2s 2.2.0, but for some reason my installed 3.0.0 I haven't used. I still use xTIMEcomposer, and will only port to XTC tools (or whatever it's called then) when I get the the promised RISC-V on a board. I will be using i2s and TDM (Time Division Multiplexing).
I see that lib_i2s 5.0.0 now is around [5]. I see that xC is gone, only assembler S files.
QUESTIONS: May 5.0.0 be used with xTIMEcomposer? If yes, would there be any good reason to? Is there anything about TDM that I need to be aware of?

Aside, but might be of interest: For the xCORE-200 board I will be using NW-AUD-ICS52000 [1-2] containing four ICS-52000 all-in-one mics, and I can let lib_mic_array and the sw decimation go, since ready data is delivered over TDM. I also found a headphone I2S output board from Pimoroni, containing a PCM5100A stereo DAC with PLL [3-4]. (This has also been discussed here at XMOS microphone boards or alternative? and Using a PLL for mic clock(s)).
