Re: Using XMOS processor to emulate an older 8/16 bit CPU/MCU

You can totally emulate a z80 + some other stuff! The 'mame-on-a-stick' I did emulated the entire pacman hardware, including a z80. That said, I rewrote the z80 emulation using from scratch, which brought it down to about 11k for the entire hardware. If anyone's interested, I can post the code... Yvo

Re: xcore.com update

Hi There!

So erm, what happened to the projects? I understand the 'new' way will be to just attach them and what not I loved the ability to browse through projects. I understand 99% of the people use the forum more than anything but there's quite a lot of information in the projects as well...

Re: outshr in xc?

Good stuff! Thanks for that! It's literally been years since I touched XMOS devices but I'm working on a project that actually could benefit nicely from it :-)

outshr in xc?

Hi all, Long time no see! Quick question: Is there any way that XC compiles code to use outshr? I.e. if I have a 32-bit integer and push that to a port 4- or 8 bits at a time (in sequence) that it'll compile it into a series of outshr commands? Reason I'm asking is that I'd like to create a project ...

Reference schematic?

Hi all!

Are there any reference schematics for the XU208-128-TQ64-C10 version? In ye olden days there were some really kick-ass minimal reference designs that I used to create my own versions but I can't seem to find any.

Thanks!

Re: USB HID Host?

Thanks! Hmmm, that's a bit of a bummer. There's a ton of client side stuff (well, sorta) from what I gather but given the stuff I'm interested in it would be awesome to have a host so I can plug in USB controllers. I also noticed the 'old' cores are getting scarcer and go for about the same price as...

USB HID Host?

Howdy all... Back from the dead... I've been toying around with some stuff and was wondering if the xu200 is capable of playing host on one of its cores. Mainly interested in joysticks and what not but it looks like most of them are clients rather than hosts. Downloading the new 'xTime Composer' as ...

Ah, I see. I was looking for the 48 pin version, which shows ZERO.

Re: XS1 8-core LPQ-64 availability?

Odd. I got a message that there weren't any in stock a few days back. I guess they just backfilled them. Anyway, thanks for the reply!

XS1 8-core LPQ-64 availability?

Hi There! I've been looking (again) at XMOS and noticed digikey no longer has them in stock? What gives? Are they being phased out? Between the previous price increase and rebranding it'd be nice to know that if I develop a new board based around an XMOS chip it'll actually be around for a number of...
