questions about simulation

when i change the xn file like this:

change SystemFrequency from 400Mhz to 200Mhz

1.when i simulate again. why the stdcore[0]_cycles is still 2.5ns(400Mhz),not 5ns(200Mhz)?
SystemFrequency means instruction period? what's the relationship between SystemFrequency and instruction period?

2.by default, the frequency of clock block 0 equals the frequency of timer? how to change timer's period?

i have read some document about xs1-architecture and chip datasheet , but i have some quesetion like above.

is there some documents about xs1's registers and how to operate these registers?
