it means that i need another xtag2 to connect to this xtag2 which is replaced chip,
and bring out this xtag2's jtag signals ?
but i have only one xtag2..
The JTAG connections are brought out with space to put a header on the bottom edge of the board, you should be able to find these in the schematic. You will however need another XTAG-2 to program your blank device. The XTAG-2 is manufactured with a chip pre-programmed with the bootloader and so avoids this step. If you need the latest bootloader firmware I recommend submitting a support request via the XMOS support ticket system on xmos.com and we can provide it to you.
