I have been playing around with the IDE (I don't have a board yet)...I am trying to use the XK-1 Tutorial (Illuminate an LED)...the second step says
"Click File > New > XC Project to launch the XC Project wizard.
Choose XK-1 Development Board from the Platform list "
When I try the platform area is all gray...and does not list the X-1Development board as an option...Is this because the board in not plugged in or is there a way to change the setting?

What OS and what version of the XDE are you using?
You don't have to plug in the board for it to be available.

Windows Vista and the IDE is 10.4.2...

I suggest making a support ticket at the XMOS website with providing a screenshot.
