L1 XCore 101

Post by shobley »

I've had some time to ponder the XC-1A kit and have a few questions:

It appears the chips are all 3.3V, and yet some of the breakout pins on the XC-1A seem to be labelled 5v - I take it these should never be connected to any of the io lines from the chip?

I found the L1 reference schematic, here -

https://www.xmos.com/support/silicon

Is this still a valid - and is there a kit of parts available anywhere?

The G series of chip, tolerates 5V input on the I/O pins.
The L -series does not tolerate 5V.

The XC cards are based on G-serie.
The XK cards are based on L-serie.
Probably not the most confused programmer anymore on the XCORE forum.

Thanks!

I was looking for an L1 footprint in the Sparkfun library, but can't seem to find it - is it still included?
