xTIMEcomposer installation problem on Mac OSX Mavericks

Post by data »

Downloaded xTIMEcomposer 13.1.0 for Mac to a machine running Mavericks 10.9.4.

On opening the DMG, Finder showed the Beach Ball of Death and would not respond to anything except force quit. At first I thought it had simply hung. Later I found that it would hang for several minutes -- perhaps eight or so -- before at last opening the image's window.

I was able to open a terminal and copy the xTimeComposer app using cp -av while the beach ball was spinning.

After the image's folder opened in Finder, everything seemed to go on as normal. The xTimeComposer app seems to run normally when copied.

Same happened with the 13.0.2 image.

I am using 13.1.0 on OSX 10.9.4 without any issues. Are you able to use the tool now? If you still have problems running the tool on your machine, can you give some more details about the problem to replicate this on my machine?
