XC-1 Revival?

Hey Everyone,

Have recently just come to terms with my dead XC-1 and thought maybe I'd throw this into the forum and see if anyone else has an idea on how to bring it back to life.

It doesn't respond to anything!

If you plug it into a windows machine it comes up as a USB composite device, Mac as nothing, Ubuntu doesn't see it either. From what I've understood the FTDI chip might be trying to initialise the interface but the XMOS chip doesn't play ball.

I thought maybe the OTP may be trashed but xrun --listdevices confirms no one home.

Anyone have any ideas??

Thanks
Jake

Hey,

I have the same problem.

I pull out an old XC-1 that I had not used for a while only to find it does not boot.

I can confirm that all power rails are present (5v 3.3v 1v) and that the 20Mhz osc is working. The G4A chip is however not showing a PLL lock light.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what where to check next?

Cheers

Matt.
