my projection for 128 core mobile chip was completely exaggerated and unrelated to Intel´s 48-core chip mentioned in main post in this topic. that´s my pre-view of future, no more :-) but who knows...

yep, it could be also a marketing move - "we made first 48-core chip!" (do they really first in this?). it´s look like sony´s oled tv set - costs a fortune, but sony has the right to claim first oled tv set.

But wait!, AMD 49 core coming soon...hype!
I guess IAS x86 won't matter at 48..

oh my!

first time i was paying attention to Intel´s chip marking: 86, 286, 386, 486, ... very after i was measuring MHz, and GHz a bit later, now i learned to enumerate cores on chip: 2, 4, ...

should i buy a scale to just weight my future chips?
