Stepper Motor Running at 80 kHz
I am planning to drive a stepper motor (https://www.oyostepper.com/) at close to 80 kHz using a 5V TTL signal. The pulse source (controller) is about 1 meter away from the driver. Are there any special precautions I should take when wiring? Should I use twisted pair shielded cable? Should I add RC filters or pull-up and pull-down resistors at the source and sink?

Use twisted pair shielded cable to reduce noise. RC filters can help, but aren't essential unless there's noise. Pull-up/down resistors might be useful for signal stability.Cary wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2025 7:44 am I am planning to drive a stepper motor (https://www.oyostepper.com/) at close to 80 kHz using a 5V TTL signal.
