Hi,
I am designing a USB audio board based on "xCore-200 Multichannel Audio Platform" reference design and using a XE216-512-TQ128 microcontroller. The clock source uses a PL611-01-N12MC chip which is impossible to buy without 3 months lead time.
What is the best reference design that do not use this chip ?
The Audio slice uses also the PL611-01-N12 and it is not clear to me if it can be replaced by a CS2100-CP (based on the datasheet, CS2100 is an option ...)
Any help on finding a good design for audio clocking would be appreciated !
Thanks a lot
Bets regards,
Nicolas

Hi. If accurate, Arrow (Germany) is showing stock:
http://service.stkcheck.com/?mfg=dbaceb ... s=PL611-01
Could the PhaseLink brand be used as a valid cross ?
http://phaselink.com/pdffiles/PL611-31.pdf
Phaselink looks to be a better quality part (lower jitter / phase noise) but best to contact a Phaselink FAE to confirm if a valid cross to the Micrel.
Looks like Phaselink was purchased by Micrel and Micrel was purchased by Microchip - need a roadmap here. Consider to contact Microchip sales ? Free samples may be available. Ring your local Arrow rep to confirm if the inventory snapshot in Germany is real.
The PLL does not look special but best to just drop in and forget about it to use with the pre-canned code. Otherwise, you could consider the options from Silicon Labs, Cypress, IDT to name a few alternative vendors.

Thanks for your answer.
I called Arrow and they have no stock. Lead time is 12 weeks ... MOQ is 80, what is not really a problem given the price of the chip.
It seems that CS2300 could be a good alternative. Has anyone a reference design using this chip, please ?
Thanks
