hi all ;)
i try to use Xtag2 as JTAG for Xilinx FPGA, so there is a project http://archive.xmoslinkers.org/node/321 for this but not for FPGA.
do you have any idea how i can do this? or i must make my PCB including XS1-L1 64?
and because USB-JTAG for FPGA cost more 100$, so with XTAG 50$ will be better
please help, i will happy to do this as project
XTAG XMOS to JTAG for FPGA

I just bought one of these:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWNX:IT
for just under $50.
It works very well with my Spartan 3 board and the latest Xilinx ISE 14.4 software under Win7 x64, which is supposed by Xilinx to be problematical.
In theory the XTAG-2 could be persuaded to do something similar, but it won't be easy.

thanks leon, :D i have this cable to and parallel 3 also
unfortunately i don't use ebay to bay (i don't have paypal)
i just see for example from xilinx website http://www.xilinx.com/products/devkits/HW-USB-II-G.htm
=> Platform Cable USB II cost $225.00
=> so is very expensive like they FPGA
=> XTAG cost just 50$
i just see that the original JTAG for FPGA is more more cost than XMOS
what you think?

I still maintain that writing the software and designing the hardware to make the XTAG-2 Xilinx-compatible just isn't worth it. That cable I bought seems to be a clone of the original Xilinx Platform Cable and supports all the Xilinx devices I can afford.

Leon... I know you got all the newest kits but Xilinx ISE 14.4 ? that thing is not even out yet ! ;-). Btw If I did not had one programmer I'd grab one of those... just all the adapters make it more than worthwhile !

I meant 12.4, of course! I'll probably be pushing up the daisies by the time 14.4 comes out.

Leon: I'don't think so because Xilinx has a very fast pace with its software!
