I would quite like to try out the startkit I have been given, but the whole thing seems like hard work. Has anyone else managed this?
A couple of months ago I managed to get xtimecontroller running by disabling some kind of browser functionality (after trying the alternative instructions to download and compile various thing, without sucess)
However none of the getting started instructions match what I see on the ide.
If I try and import one of the startkit examples I get an error message 'problem encountered cloning ... sw_startkit_examples (null)'
If I create a project and copy and paste code in from an example, I seem to be able to build it but when I select run configurations I don't get any hardware options to select from. I've added the suggested rules file as /etc/udev/rules.d/99-xmos.rules
xtimecomposer on ubuntu 13.10 64bit laptop

@teachop
Hi, I got my startKIT at the recent Embedded World expo in Feb 2014 and made this video - although I installed it on OSX not Ubuntu it may help you a little.
I'll make another video soon with an install on Ubuntu.
Install was pretty easy and yes you need to make sure the startKIT is selected in "Run configurations"
