Minimum device for USB and Ethernet

What would be the smallest device possible to be able to use USB and Ethernet at once and maybe have some spare GPIOs available? I see that there is a device available with built-in USB PHY. Is this device performance-wise better than using the external Microchip PHY solution? Maybe something about my application: Idea is to have a small module with two rows of pin headers, which can be embedded in custom applications or used on a breadboard. Guess someone here mentioned the idea of having a xCore stamp (o;

If both Ethernet and USB at the same time I would go for a U16
