64-bit version of xTIMEcomposer Community

Post by mister7 »

I plan to lead XMOS to the new design and have done a variety of experiments with helping of xTIMEcomposer Community. But unfortunately, there is no pure 64-bit version of the software, I mean, I must install 32-bit JRE on my 64-bit win7 system. That's not good for me because I have to shift a lot of software such as scilab, yEd, eclipse and etc from 64-bit to 32-bit. I think it is not a personal problem. So I'd like to know whether You have a plan to release a pure 64-bit version of xTIMEcomposer Community in further? And when I'll get it?

I believe you should be able to have both 32-bit and 64-bit java installed at the same time, thus use the 32-bit jvm for the xtimecomposer and the 64-bit jvm for all your other tools. Is this not possible in your case?

Cheers,
