Hi everybody,
I recently got a DAC with Xmos U8 chipset. I'm trying to get it working in Mageia 5, but all I hear is silence.
I searched for help on the manufacturer's website and I got this: https://www.xmos.com/published/enable-usb-drivers-linux
As I see it, Mageia Kernel does not have a /proc/bus/usb directory (maybe this is the problem?) and therefore does not support USBFS?
I've contacted Xmos for an unofficial patched version of the device library, as they say, and I'm waiting. Does anyone have any experience about this?
Thank!
chipset Xmos U8

Hi,
I can't speak for your dac but generally xmos products are compliant with the USB audio class and as such use built in drivers in the OS. This is the case for linux, I'm not familiar with Mageia.
The device library the xmos website is talking about is for when using the xmos debuggers, not related to anything audio.
Cheers,
Joe
