Hi,
Im running linux mint as host and i have centOS 5.8 installed in a virtualbox (non-free)
and im new to xmos and their toolchain.
i followed the instruction from http://xcore.com/wiki/index.php/Xtag_Xt ... _on_Ubuntu
centos lists the usb-xtag2 adapter properly.
when i start xrun -l , it takes a long time and the response is "no devices available".
wireshark tells me that there is a malformed packet
now the xtag2 adapter is not listed anymore.
if i try it in linux host system,
the xtag2 adapter is listed when using run -l
does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?
Thanks
Ck

Using the XTAG-2 on a virtual machine is not one of our supported platforms. Because of the way the device is disconnected and reconfigured to be a different device on firmware loading this causes problems with virtual machines which are bridging the USB system from a host. Currently the only way we have of working with this is to do the xrun -l on the host system and then use the XTAG-2 from the guest. Once the initial xrun -l is done there is no device reconfiguration done until it is power cycled.
