On https://github.com/xcore/sc_util the file http://github.xcore.com/sc_util is referred to.
The latter gives error 404. Also, it also seems to be used by the GitHub Desktop when I tried Clone or Downnload | Open in Desktop | https://github.com/xcore/sc_util.git - it complains.
And http://github.xcore.com -> http://xcore.github.io looks rather unsupported.
I was trying to download the app_mutual_comm_example, since xTIMEcomposer didn't find it for me.
PS. I did Download ZIP instead, but shouldn't the above be fixed?

sc_util has been superseded by lib_logging, lib_xassert, lib_random, lib_locks etc.
Is there a particular reason why you are using sc_util?

Yes, I knew all about that. But isn't it OK to park the obsoleted cars so that they may be inspected.. This is a ruin, it doesn't look nike for XMOS. It's _so_ easy for you to clean this up.
From pun to why. I discovered the rather interesting mutual_thread_comm.xc file in lib_webserver. All part of the new concept. There it says that "See app_mutual_comm_example for a simple example of its use." And that led me to sc_util. Any better suggestion?
