Driver timed out on play

Post by rkn »

Hello,

I am having an issue with a board built around the XE216-512-TQ128.
I am running the USB Audio Multichannel software from XMOS on it (Build configuration: 2i8o8xxxxx_tdm8)
When I attach the USB connection the device is enumerated and recognized as USB Audio 2 device by macOS. I can. see the LRCK and BCLK coming from the XMOS with correct values (48kHz, 12,288MHz).
The only change I made was reconfiguring the pins. This is from my xn-File:

Code: Select all

          </Tile>
When I start now audio playing in Plogue Bidule I get a message box with the following error message: Driver timed out on play. I don't see any data on the TDM-Out line.
Other software does not play, too, but at least Bidule gave an error message.
It seems, that the XMOS does not start to play.
Now, interestingly, if I run the software on another board from another project but with the same XMOS schematic and almost the same PCB layout, it works.
Any idea how I can debug this? Could it be that the XE216 is damaged somehow?

I have a Wavestation SR..I set everything up via midi from PC to Wavestation SR...I dump the factory settings file...it begins to dump and stops with an error message saying that it "timed out". I tried it about 10 times and got the same error message. Any ideas?
