500MHz version of its XS1-L1 event-driven processor

Postby jason » Tue Mar 02, 2010 10:32 am

XMOS is about to ship a 500MHz version of its XS1-L1 event-driven processor. The higher-performance version of the L1 will be orderable starting March 4th, 2010.

Supporting clock speeds of up to 500MHz, the new version of the L1 increases maximum thread performance up to 125MIPS. With this increased performance, the designer can choose to integrate extra functionality in the same footprint, improve throughput or simply accelerate development timeframes by decreasing optimization efforts.

Detailed technical information along with ordering information for the 500MHz XS1-L1 will be available at http://www.xmos.com on March 4th, 2010.
