But an official statement from XMOS would of course close the matter. So to answer your original question, yes this product is truly obsolete. Once we sell our remaining 58 parts then XMOS will then list it as obsolete on their end as well..

Maybe clarifying, also in the same mail from Digi-Key:

That looks fairly conclusive. I have asked Ross, but no comment so far. I also looked at the recent EOL notifications at https://www.xmos.ai/advisories-and-notices/ and they didn't include any prior notice, just "removed from sale immediately". Not very helpful.
Thanks for drawing this to our attention. I ordered a couple from DigiKey.
In the longer term I'll have to look elsewhere for a fast ethernet interface unless xmos comes up with a new board with similar capabilities. I haven't seen any XE316 data yet.

I tried xmos support directly and was told that the board is indeed discontinued. I think we should hold a vigil.

No surprise, then. After all, they did respond!
Off Topic
But then, the XCORE.AI EVALUATION KIT (XK-EVK-XU316) is available.
I wonder if if would work from xTIMEcomposer 14.4.1. Is there a .xn file for it for 14.4.1?
Provided we can accept that we don't get access to any new instructions of the ai? (X3)
Maybe this requires a new thread?

Hi Øyvind,
I have it working in xTIMEcomposer, including debugging.
I don't see why you can't use the X3 instructions as it uses the entire V15 SDK rather than just an .xn file.
Basically you overwrite the files in the xTIMEComposer folder with the files from the V15 sdk from GitHub and it all seems to work (so far!).
Cheers
Andy
