USB Audio 2.0 support coming to Windows 10 from Microsoft

I tested it and it doesn't work with XMOS firmware.

As this Microsoft driver was developed by Thesycon (proof link https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/window ... io-drivers), I think we could not expect it would work fine with XMOS in near future. Thesycon's main business is selling XMOS driver licenses. So being on their place I would do maximum effort to make standard Windows driver as ugly as possible and with no any XMOS compatibility. Please, correct me, if I am wrong. I wish.

AlexAdvice - Can you elaborate a little more on what you are doing and your Windows setup? Are you simply plugging the device in and the Windows USB Audio 2.0 driver works?

When I plug my XMOS device into a Windows 10 box, it installs the usbaudio2 driver, but says the device cannot start (Code 10). It also says Device was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.

My XMOS XUF216 device (2 in 2 out, UAC2) with custom firmware, based 90% on official XMOS firmware, doesnt work with the new standard W10 UAC2 drivers. Yellow mark, error. Works no problem with Thesycon driver, with Mac OS X and even Android.

Please, name this devices that do work fine and what's the UAC mode they do use. Basically did you see 192 kHz support? Thank you VERY much in advance.

XMOS guys, we would love to hear you comments on this. I am pretty sure it's xCore 200 reference firmware. Its USB related part, to be more specific. Some very basic support of W10 would be nice, to keep Thesycon driver licensing business on truck. I respect both Thesycon interest and our customers interest too.

My own devices. UAC2, of course.

I saw 2 devices in Device Manager - one is the sound card itself, and it is OK.
Second - DFU device, it is with the yellow mark.

Basically did you see 192 kHz support?

I have seen even 384/24 kHz.

Could you at least name your device's XMOS chip model and any firmware information? I would be happy to understand where I am wrong. If you don't want to help, please dont write anything. My XUF208 design works just fine with Windows 10's native UAC2 driver.

It's running XMOS' USB Audio IP ported from the XUF216.

Some devices with XUF208, most with XS1-L6A.
Firmware based on a Ref. Design.
