Pages for XU316-1024-FB265 and XU316-1024-QF60A datasheets have appeared on the xcore.ai site, but the links are dead. Both are dated 1 Sept 2020, and the revisions are 22 and 18 respectively. I don't know if that is a good sign.

The new devices and tools, docs, etc. are only open to early adopters at this time.

We will have to wait till the details are released to us mortals.

I just noticed that datasheets for the new XU316 xmos.ai parts are actually up now for anyone to see.

With the 2.0 Explorer Kit they seem to have removed the small Xtag header that used to be under the XU316 micro (I think that version only had an extremely limited release). Instead it looks like there's essentially an Xtag built into the board accessible through the DEBUG micro-USB port. Not sure how I feel about that.

My question is if we develop our own xcore.ai board, how do we program and debug it since the previous XTAG-3 would be incompatible? I'm sure I've seen some mention of an XTAG-4 for xcore.ai chips, but I've never actually seen one.

It's a good question. The hardware manual references the xSYS2 connector and says that you can use an xTAG3 with an adapter, but, as you say, the connector is missing from the board shown on the web site. I don't know which is right.

In the image check J21 bottom right. That's a TAG-connect header, but again I'm not sure if this is intended for using the on-board debugger with other boards, or if it's intended for use with an external debugger.
