I wanted to try using xTIMEcomposer just as a text editor for the XTC 15.3.0 tool chain, so that I can use the syntax highlighting, however I'm getting an SSL error when it tries to connect to www.xmos.com. Previously this was due to the Java not being supported in the annual SSL certificate update, but that was some years ago and it may be a different issue now.
When I clear the message window, the signin window is locked up and the only way then to exit xTIMEcomposer is to end it using Windows Task Manager.
Kind regards,
Al

Hi Al,
This is a known issue. There is an advisory which has been released which shows you how to work around the issue, by switching the xtimecomposer to offline mode which stops it from trying to connect to the website to fetch libraries and how-to examples and welcome pages, etc Since each time xtimecomposer tries to fetch a webpage from the website it encounters this SSL issue, which is due to xtimecomposer being based on a very old version of eclipse which uses outdated and now insecure SSL protocols which is disabled on the website.
