This is more of a pre-sales question...
With crazy 800Mhz clock speeds on ARMs these days, I'm looking at replacing an fpga design with a microprocessor based one.
Xmos looks very interesting to me, but I'm wondering about the performance, specifically,
1) how fast could it drive an arbitrary pattern from memory to an I/O?
2) What kind of resolution can be achieved when shifting that pattern? For example, could a pattern be shifted in time by .5ns?
Is there any literature somewhat related to this type of application?
